BBQ at the Central Interceptor (CI) Tunnel Project ?

Nothing like a BBQ before the weekend?

A few of our team called into a Watercare Central Interceptor project site last Thursday and cooked up a feed for the hardworking Ghella Abergeldie JV crew as they mark progress on the supersize wastewater tunnel ?

The 16.2km Central Interceptor tunnel plus two link sewers runs from Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plan, across Manukau Harbour to Pt Erin, Herne Bay. Hiwa-i-te-Rangi Tunnel Boring Machine is currently sitting 70m below ground, just past the Haverstock Rd Central Interceptor site, Sandringham. Section one of the tunnel, from May Rd, Mt Roskill south is due to go live by the end of the year. ??
