Prioritizing Health and Well-being to Support Men’s Health Week
At Pronto Hire we believe in the power of health and wellbeing, which is why we put a spotlight on the importance of prioritizing our physical and mental well-being during Men’s Health Week (12-18th June). In this blog post we recap the highlights of Men’s Health Week at Pronto Hire, including two insightful Q&A articles by Bailey and Mark, an awesome YouTube video and our Pronto Gift Pack.

Men’s Health Week was kicked off with Bailey and Mark’s Q&A.

👉 What strategies do you implement to maintain a healthy work-life balance?
The key to maintaining a healthy work-life balance is to set boundaries, ensure your personal life is happy before devoting additional time to work commitments. However most importantly, ensure you enjoy your work, this not only makes the days go by faster, but helps immensely with your life outside of work. If you don’t enjoy your work, you’ll struggle to find happiness.
👉What’s your go-to activity for de-stressing and improving mental health?
My go to activity for destressing would be ensuring a personal to work life balance. Having a quiet family dinner at home seemingly always works a treat. I believe this is imperative to improving mental health.

Mark discussed the significance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and strategies to support mental well-being.
👉 How do you manage workplace stress and stay mentally resilient?
I have in the past actively practiced mindfulness using an app called headspace. I don’t have time these days to spend time on an app but I think its developed my ability to become mindful most of the time, helping to reduce overreacting or spikes in stress. The acronym TEAR comes to mind a lot – my Thoughts affect my Emotions, which affects my Actions, affecting the Results.
👉What’s your go-to activity for destressing and improving mental health?
Keeping my body and mind active in different ways to what happens at work has helped in the past.

We turned all our MHW facts and updates into a youtube video which has generated close to 5,000 views (and counting). The video featured a few our of Pronto guys and was a really fun way to tie together all things MHW.
Pronto Gift Pack to Promote Health and Wellness:
All hires during MHW received a Pronto Gift Pack as a thankyou to our customers and to give encouragement to prioritise their health, especially during the colder months. The Pronto gift pack included a protein bar, a Pronto beanie and Vitamin C. The Pronto Gift Pack aimed to reinforce the importance of self-care and served as a reminder that our health is an asset worth investing in.
